Episode 137 – Home Security

Home security is something we should constantly think about. Especially if TSHTF, there will be stressed out people that will do crazy things they don’t normally do. Given the fact that survival is must as much about what we do know before something happens as it is after a disaster, this subject fits right in. So many times I answered a call from a stressed out homeowner or business owner, calling me after they were broken into. I often silently askes myself the question, “why didn’t they take care of this before this happened?” Every one of them wish they had. During my 16 years in the home security industry, I’ve learned a few things along the way, so in this podcast I share some things for you to think about to protect your castle. I cover how to secure a single family home, a business, an apartment and a rural farm or BOL. I discuss security systems, IP surveillance cameras, motion detectors, glass break sensors, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and more. I even talk about less lethal ways to secure the inside of your home and the 3 layers of protection to consider. I think you’ll find this quite informative. Episode 136 – Well Rounded Survivalist.

This episode is about being well rounded as a survivalist. I got the idea from Eric Shelton’s Handgun Podcast. He did a show several weeks ago on becoming a well rounded shooter. So I decided to use that theme and apply it to common sense preparedness. Some people think that preppers should specialize. I disagree. In this podcast I make the point to become well rounded in your training, your supplies, your attitude, your security and your survival goals. I also cover a little bit of info on building well rounded survival relationships with people of varied skill sets. Bob Mayne, Today’s Survival Show
