Episode 141 – Volunteerism and free training.

Preparedness has just as much to do with what you know as it does what you have, in my opinion. So this episode is dedicated to the subject of how to acquire free training through volunteerism and occaisonally, part time work. So a listener named Matt Czonek, who has been on this show once before discussing knife and tool sharpening, decided to share with us some of his personal experiences. We discuss his volunteer work at Pioneer Farms in Austin and the Green Corn Project. We also discuss bartering and share personal success stories about how bartering helped us get what we couldn’t afford at the time. Don’t forget to join the forum here and thanks for downloading and listening, Bob Mayne, Today’s Survival Show.

Episode 140 Coping with traumatic stress and a little bit about springtime preparedness

This episode basically has 2 topics, the first is an expansion of a previous episode on dealing with the stress of the aftermath of a disaster. Think about the flooding in Mississippi and Louisiana as you hear this. The second topic is some ideas I have on spring and summer preparedness. Thanks for listening, Bob Mayne, Today’s Survival Show
