Episode 139 – Credit Card Myths and Mental Toughess After a Disaster

I decided to make this show about 2 different subjects. First is credit cards. I found an article in Fox Business News that I didn’t really like, about the use of credit cards. I think this is very appropriate for survivalism because of the danger credit cards pose before and after a disaster. So the first half of the show is dedicated to this subject. I discuss why I think credit cards are a bad idea, but more importantly, what this article doesn’t say that makes it a bad article. Secondly, I talk about how to stay positive and mentally tough after a disaster. So much of survival is psychological and I discuss some ways to improve your ability to survive, by improving your mind. Thanks for listening, Bob Mayne, Today’s Survival Show.

Episode 138 – Dog vs. Burglar

Dogs often come up in a conversation about home security. Preparedness also includes taking your home and business security seriously. Recently I received an excellent email from a listener reminding me that I forgot to talk about Dogs in the last podcast on home security. So I felt compelled to produce another show. I would like to give you some things to think about when considering any type of animal as a security alarm. There are positives and negatives. There’s also the Dog Bite Law.
