Hello, great show!
I would like to go back to listen to older podcasts which are no longer listed in iTunes.  I see that I can download them individually from the website, but was just curious if there's an easier way to do this.  I'm not savvy with iTunes, but "tricking" it to load older episodes so that I can sync to my iphone would be ideal.  I guess another option would be a zip of the older .mp3's, but this may overload the website's bandwith.
Thanks for the show's information -- it is both entertaining and informative.

Welcome Avidin!  Thanks for listening.  As for the older shows not in itunes, let me check on that.  I didn't set up the itunes account until episode 5 or 6.  In the meantime, download them straight from www.todayssurvival.com and then save them to your ipod or mp3 player.  I'll try to figure out how to upload the first 5.  Also, if you subscribe on itunes you will get automatic downloads as I post new ones.

Your patience is appreciated!  Welcome aboard.

Thanks Bob, and thanks for the “air time” mentioning this in episode52!  I just listened to it, as it has taken me a while to catch up on back episodes.  My issue was that I could only see the last 9-10 episodes in iTunes, so had to go to the website and download like you suggested.  For those who may also be interested in getting these web-downloaded episodes to behave like the podcasts we grab from iTunes, I offer this tip:

After manually adding the mp3’s to Library in iTunes, select them and use the Get Info (Ctrl-I) command, and change the Media Kind field in the Options tab to Podcast. This will allow you to also change other options that you can’t for songs, such as remembering playback position, playing at 2x, etc.. I also changed the Artist info so that on my player (iPhone,) I see the old along with the new Today’s Survival Show podcasts.

[edit:  I DO now see all of the episodes in the iTunes store!  So now this issue is solved, and the tip useless unless some folks also downloaded them off the website directly.  Thanks Bob!]

Didn't know this.  Thanks for posting this avidin.  I made the change to itunes to show ALL episodes!  If anyone has trouble with it, let me know.

By the way, if you "subscribe" on iTunes, you should get each episode downloaded to your library automatically shortly after I post them.  Then you'll have them all in your library to sync with your ipod and listen whenever you wish.
