OK, with an 8 out of 20 chance of winning, let me congratulate ToughTimes for winning the drawing for the first stage of the S.A.C. Contest. Nice job, ToughTimes.
The second name I picked was 40CalJoe, so even though I didn't announce it in the original announcement, I will be sending him 2 boxes of .40caliber ammunition (since I know he uses it.)
Also, I would like to make special mention to pigpen. He had 5 entries into the pool.
More good news, all of these names will stay in the pool for the next stage of the contest. It will end on Feb. 28th, 2010. The giveaway and contest rules for that will be announced on January 6, 2010.
Congratulations to ToughTimes,Pigpen,Oldsoldier,40CalJoe and Word Warrior for qualifying for the contest.

Thanks Bob!! Many good letters and good work by everyone. I still never heard back from the prez and I won't be holding my breath....
I have more letters due in and this morning I faxed Ben Nelson...rat. If getting a response through faxes is worthy, I will let you all know the easy link. You never know if a paper letter/fax might just be more effective than e-mail.
Thanks again for running a fun contest, but moreso giving us an avenue to share the letters we do receive with other members of this forum.

congrats, also, guys, but I think that I really want to thank Bob for running this contest. It has been an encouragement to keep on our politicians to pay attention to us. I think that my Sen. from Mi. are sick of hearing from me, even though Carl Levin doesn't seem to pay much attention to me. I will try him again this week.
Again, congrats, and keep holding them accountable for all they do and don't do.

We plowed our road out up to the mailbox today and there was two exciting packages waiting. I want to Thank Bob and Jeff of Knives and Gear for the wonderful prizes they put up to sponsor the S.A.C. contest. The iPod Nano is a bit techie, but I had some help from my 10 yr old grandson and got the Todays Survivor Podcast loaded and subscribed so future future shows will be streamed automatically, neat feature...plus it's a video camera too. The ZillaTool is as cool as it gets and if you have never seen or held one of these babies...I know you would be impressed. It's not getting added to a BOB as it will get put to work right away!
