I cut my hunting teeth on rabbits. They are great to hunt and I always went for the heads only to make the cleaning easier and less smelly. Remember I said I cut my teeth here.

After I was older and made my way to Texas my Father In-Law took me on a weekend squirrel hunt with his hunting Buddy's.

They gave me a hard time because I had a scoped 22LR.
They all had shotguns or open sight 22LRs.
Well that was the evening we got there. It took me the morning hunt getting only one that morning to get my tactics down and figure these guys out. I got ribbed some more.
The first afternoon I redeemed myself. I got a limit that afternoon. All head shots. When i returned and told them they still tried to rib me. But these were not the larger Fox Squirrels but the the smaller Cat Squirrels.
A scoped 22 redeemed me.

It was great. Now my son likes to go with me and loves to help me make squirrel stew.

Better to have it and not need it Then need it and not have it.
