Episode 147 – Will Power

The psychological aspect of survival is my primary topic in this episode. Cody Lundin has often said that survival is about 80-90% psychological and I agree. Recently during the experience of moving, I’ve gained a greater appreciation for will power. Pushing ourselves beyond our self imposed limits, is a huge key to being prepared. If you’re attempting to build your own shelter, BOL or what have you, I bet your limits were tested weren’t they? Perhaps you’ve been hunting, fishing, trapping or simply just canning some food and frustration set it, or maybe you reached a point of wondering if you could handle any more of it? Perhaps someone has told you you’re “extreme” because you choose to do simple things like store food, water, ammunition and a generator? If any of these are yes answers, I think you’ll enjoy this show. Thanks for listening, Bob Mayne, Today’s Survival Show

  1. Congratulations Matt! Doing what you love, that’s great, I’ll call you next time through Austin.

Excellent podcast as usual, it spoke to me on many levels especially on reinventing yourself. And I need to share the news that I have reinvented myself and am now employed full time as a blacksmith. It’s hot, hard work and it tests my willpower every day, but I couldn’t be happier. Hope the move goes well and talk to you soon.
